- Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy
- ARIA labels on all custom controls (tabs, accordions, flip cards)
- Text alternatives for all informative images
- Color contrast meeting WCAG AA ratios (4.5:1 body text, 3:1 large text)
- Resizable text up to 200% without loss of functionality
- Reduced-motion preference respected (animations disabled/simplified)
- Form labels and error messages associated with inputs
- All tools render usable static fallback without JavaScript enabled
Known Limitations
The before/after slider component supports keyboard arrow-key control but produces minimal screen-reader narration of the visual transition. The LA Humidity Heatmap is SVG-based with text data table fallback — the visual map cannot be perceived by users relying solely on screen reader output, but the underlying data table conveys the same information.
